5/30/2023 0 Comments Military freefall badge![]() I know a lot has changed since I went through-they've opened the George Banner Memorial Wind Tunnel in Yuma-and now they're starting to implement the "Freefall for all" program for 18 series finishing the Q-Course (to preempt the questions, right now I know they're only sending some of the top guys from each MOS, but it's 100% true: they're about to start implementing it into the pipeline. In fact, looking back, we all agree that it's the #1 Army school that I would like to actually redo because you could relax and have so much fun. It's actually a lot easier than it seems in the moment. Comfortable? Put on a rucksack and perform some basics maneuvers. After that, it's jumping and packing and it's pretty much summed up thus: the second you get comfortable, the difficulty (and stress) go up. ![]() The first week is equal parts awesome (tunnel time) and shitty (packing practice). Too bad you won't have much of that while you're going through unless you're an experienced civilian sky diver (and even then, it can be a bit overwhelming).
